my great niece was born and now she is turning 21. Wow, time really does fly. So this card is not my usual look and way out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to try to do something a little extra for this birthday.
The CHF stamp is actually quite large, After I stamped it, I painted the gesso around the little child's face because that's what I wanted highlighted. Stenciled the flourish and then spread the glitter paste through another stencil. Colored and die cut the flowers and then went in and trimmed out the extra white space on this die. I also cut it into two pieces so I could place them better on the card. She is her mother's daughter, so Stickles were mandatory. My planks stamp wasn't quite long enough so I positioned it in the Misti, stamped (repeatedly) and then moved the panel up on the same measurement line and stamped the top (repeatedl). Since I was using DOX and it doesn't dry immediately, I rubbed the line that formed from the two stampings and that blurred it enough to make it less noticeable. The sentiment is computer generated using American Typewriter font.
As I said, this is way outside my comfort zone. I didn't quite hit a home run, but I am super happy with the end product and I know my great niece will be also. And, of course, it is way more sparkly IRL. Thanks for the inspiration today. I hope you all have an inspired day too. TFL.

WOW, BEAUTIFUL...Debbie, this is super PRETTY. What a marvelous job at all those intricate details. Absolutely love your color choices...delicate and feminine. Wonderful coloring!
I've "expanded" a BG stamp in the past. I will have to read more closely to see what you did different or same for future needs.

So lovely and soft. It looks as if you stretched your plank background perfectly, it looks seamless to me. I like your combination of stencilling. The glitter looks beautiful.
