For Toni's WTUI challenge this week ( WT849 - Newsprint to Fit - 06/17/21 by ravengirl at Splitcoaststampers )I used a book page - Winston Churchill's account of his early life. Amongst other things he was a correspondent for newspapers, so that's a tie in with the theme. Paper Rose image stamped with Versafine Black and coloured with Polychromos. Some SN clear glitter on the top right eucalyptus leaves. Edged with white acrylic and Stickles. I added this to a 7" x 5" card base sponged with grey DOX and stamped with LOTV grunge corners in Versafine Smokey Grey. Butterfly (BoBunny) stamped on photo paper with AI. I added some colour in with Sharpies. The glossy finish is a lovely contrast with the old paper. The little gold bow on the sentiment tag is from one of the TH funky floral sets. Thank you Jayne for the beautiful flowers. My internet was down at the time I was colouring them, so I relied on my memories from the Botanic Gardens glasshouse, and an old calendar with Australian flowers.

Sabrina you know this makes me smile. I love all of it. The Aussie bouquet looks perfect on the newsprint paper. Beautifully coloured. I love this effect and always forget to try it. Fav’d. TFS. Happy day and hugs

I am always amazed by all the beautiful techniques you use on your cards, Sabrina! Love the look of the stamped image on the washed out newsprint and the vivid AI inks on the butterfly!

oooo. So nice! I love the transparent flower on the print. Whole vintage feel going on. And the contrasting bright butterfly landing on your card...sweet!

This is so pretty...I love the look of coloring on a newsprint/page, too and you really did a wonderful job on this. Your colorful butterfly would surely be attracted to this lovely bouquet.

Beautiful card. Love the soft colors with the pop from that butterfly -- you were right about the contrast against the paper -- it's super! I really dig (thought you might be getting tired of "love" LOL) the grunge corners. That adds that subtle but all important touch to take a card from good to great. This is great.

Beautiful coloring of your stamped image, Sabrina! I like how the newsprint still shows through, but very subtly. Your butterfly is so Sweet in these colors~
