So, three days ago. yes not kidding. My insurance agent asked for a Wedding card that is needed for tomorrow. and the couple (that I know the groom) are into Rodeo, Horses and cattle.(He wanted the card to have horses on it) And the day after that he asked for a card to say "getting hitched". So, I came across this Sonoma Wedding shot inside the Rizzo boards and thought this could work. ( hey, it has a horse ...) At any rate this image was colored with pencils, I probably should have used markers as a short cut base layer but, it is mainly pencils with some bits of pen in the flower beds. Well, today after work he came by to pick it up, and I had been smart enough to take the other Wedding cards I had made previously and not given away yet and he chose this one from last January instead. ( I am rolling my eyes here) The funny part is, I really liked how this one turned out. There are a few more photos on the blog seen here. Thanks for this challenge Kia & tfl.

...and I agree with your insurance agent's choice, even without seeing the other wedding cards you've made, this one is a stunning beauty! Love all the elements and how you did the coloring!

Stacy, I very much enjoyed your story. The one he chose certainly is unique and poppy. But oh, those flowers so beautifully colored...well, at least you had fun bringing that stamp to 'life'! The card base is awesome as well.

I love this beautiful wedding card with the lovely pastoral scene, Stacy. I'm sure your other one was amazing also. When given a choice, you never know what someone will choose. I have some cards displayed in my craft room and sometimes I let a friend choose one they like. I'm always surprised at their choice! The lucky couple who gets this gorgeous card will surely treasure it!

Love it when these challenges can spur our creativity for a necessary card. This turned out perfect for your "requested" order for a card. May this couple have a beautiful day today for their wedding!

Such an amazing wedding card. I love that wonderful sentiment framing your beautiful scene so perfectly. Love that weathered wood plank background, as well. Awesome design, Stacy!

I'm sure he was after the elegant b/w theme on the other card, but being a June wedding, I would have snatched up this one in a heartbeat! I Love what you have done with your pencils, and it's much easier to color tiny flowers and make shadows (for your trees)! Gorgeous wedding card, Stacy, and someone else will fall in love with what you created~
