Happy to get one made for Lori's dh John suggested by Susan (One4Joy) for the teapotter challenge hosted by Lisa which was for uplifting passages, phrases and cheer.
I wanted to use this stamp but had to elongate the stitched rect. I went to Michelle Wright's blog for how to: https://www.thecowwhispererscreative...re-die-in.html
I need to practice this more but it turned out pretty good.
To glue on the berry burst strip, I blobbed a bit of tombow glue on my silicone mat and used a pointed toothpick to get the glue on. ~thanks for looking~. I hope John and Lori feel encouraged by all the cards sent to them.

Oh, your sentiment is one of Dina's stamps!!! It's just the thing for John's card ... and your stitched triangles are like sails to coordinate with the sentiment! This is just so cool, Shirl! Your elongated die cut looks just perfect to me! I love your color combo, too!

We are WOWED, Shirl! This is such a neat and clever way to make a mast! So arty and modern and yet retro, too. And thank you for hugging us with that wonderful and significant quote, too. Elongating your rectangle is like going the extra nautical mile!

Love the color combo and all the fun elements that went together on this slick looking card. Really great nautical sentiment that makes a super outlook on life.

That sentiment stamp is perfect for a sailor, and you did a great job stretching the die. I like the way the blue triangles made me think of sails or pennants.
