My first thought on reading Lisa's challenge was sailing and this old ODBD stamp - so I stamped it at an angle on a die-cut square that was on my desk. After colouring, I masked it off, brayered blue over the square and used ArtistCellar Sea Fan stencil with modelling paste, which I sprinkled with Moss Green Brushos while it was still wet.The seahorse is from Art Journey, and I used my Brother label maker for the sentiment. I have one roll of black font on clear tape which I tried first, but it didn't stand out enough. For the background I took a piece of sheet music sprayed with yellow from my box, and stamped the shell and the starfish from SU's Calm Seas all around the edge. I always wish that set actually had a Calm Seas sentiment instead of just "thinking of you".Â

As Polly said -- Perfect card for a sailing enthusiast. Loving all the elements and textures and that saying is perfect for this occasion. Wonderful card.
I have a similar sailing image I was thinking about using. But, I think I will save it for another card.

I love the music/shells, and the idea of calm. Lovely nautical card, mf.

Great colored and textured backgrounds framing your beautiful sailboat (is that officially a schooner?). And your sentiment is perfect for John and Lori!!

I like that ship with the antique map in the bg - and Lori (being a musician) is sure to hone in on the sheet music in the bg. The sea shells help to marry the 2 themes to a cohesive whole.
