Playing around with the inks DH gave me for Christmas. This was brayering onto a media plate. It made me think so much of autumn woods by a lake in the mist that all I wanted to do was add a deer.
It also reminded me of a lake we have visited a couple of times in France, high up in the mountains and surrounded by forests. The first time we went, the day was so misty we weren't sure it was going to be worth the drive - but it most certainly was.
A square might have been easier to work with, but a circle is what I had. So I framed it with the plank embossing (swiped with iced spruce) popped up on foam. Added some definition to the circle aperture with a silver pen. There are score lines on the under layer that the deer is actually standing on. I tried my very best to add some leaves as a decorative element, I even had a cling-wrap background that was a perfect match colourwise. But they just didn't look right. DH said they took his eye away from the deer. I might add a couple inside as a corner element.

Wow! This is just gorgeous. Love the mist in the forest and it is good creating a card that is a good memory.
