It's Teapot Tickle time and Pat Vilbaum is our guest hostess this month. Our challenge is to use one or more birds with a perch or house for extra cookies. I had to finally ink up this adorable little bird resting on a branch. I stamped him on Fabriano Hot Press in Versafine Clair and heat embossed. Then I quickly watercolored him up using just my Teal Spectrum Aqua marker with a bit of Boulder mixed in for beak and feet. I had splattered masking fluid before watercoloring and then splattered some blue to add a bit more interest.

Jen - I couldn't help but giggle when I saw your card - not because it's funny, but my friend, because it is NOT Wednesday!!! lol All the angst we went through the past year coming to terms with this medium and now we watercolor "willie nillie" any day of the week! You did a fab job with your "shades of blue" bird & branch.

I love that sentiment, it really makes one stop and think (anyway it did me). I love your colors and the way you colored this bird and tree!

Gosh, I would never have picked this card out as yours, Jen. I absolutely love it, what an adorable little bird, and the monochromatic treatment is super.
