I decided to go bold with Barbara's colors this week since I just got this stamp set and really wanted to use it. (I'm making a concerted effort to use my sets when I get them - so many times they languish un-inked forever).
I used the background die as my base and added the plain layer with sentiment on top. I originally had the sentiment and the flower cut out using my Scan 'n Cut. In another version of this card the stitched layer is the top layer and I placed my cut out sentiment on that. I like it but wasn't crazy about it so I tried this layering. I already had a second flower; when using the Scan 'n Cut I often cut out multiples since that is so easy to do.
I am quite intrigued by this set. I can't wait to make more cards with it!
(And Barbara - I dieted this week and didn't opt for dessert - LOL!)

One of the many rewards from visiting the gallery is to find new goodies I can't live without. I don't know how I missed this background die in the catalog, but wow! And you've shown it off so beautifully! Love the pretty flowers cut with your SNC--love mine, too!

Jeanne, your stitched background accents your bold flower beautifully. Your design has inspired me to purchase them both! Love this clean and simple card!
