Aimeslee aka 123scrap is this week's Featured Stamper. She is very talented and has a fabulous gallery. She also loves the Sketch Challenge so I had to be careful not to case her sketch. This is the card that inspired me:
*Changed the card to an art journal page
*No DP used - sponged my background and then distressed with water
*The sketch she used had around 6 circles in a certain pattern and a stripe at the bottom, I kept the circles but increased the number and did not use them in the same order plus dropped off the stripe.
*I went with cooking geek instead of her band geek nod.
*I kept her gray blue color and brown, but shifted her yellow green to orange.
*She had lots of dots in her dp so I added in some acrylic dots.
I had fun with this one - I just love the gnomes and I love playing in my art journal. Congrats Aimslee and hope you enjoy your Featured Stamper time and seeing how you have inspired others.
This is also for the Mike Deakin's Facebook Mission Inspiration mid-month mini challenge which is Haiku. My title is my Haiku. I do my art and my cooking on my kitchen counter (that is why my blog is called What's On My Kitchen Counter - lol). I am also going to link this to **Art*Journal*Journey* which is about language so a Haiku and cooking language work.

Nancy, What a fun page of images and sentiments to use in your art journal. Those chef gnomes are so cute and I love the circle and splatter background you created.

This is so cute Nancy and perfect to showcase your two loves. I like how you included the circles on the BG and the die cuts are so cute. Great journalling strips. TFS. Happy day and hugs

I immediately spotted the Mission Inspiration page here and I LOVE it. I wish I was clever enough to write a Haiku for this great page; but, I am not. You surely did cook up one sweet and delicious page, though. Fabulous job.
