I made this card for my mother-in-law, Sharron's birthday.
The flowers were stamped with River Rock ink and coloured with copic markers (no line colouring). Flowers were cut out. The circle behind the flowers was made by running white card stock through the big shot with a "wood" embossing folder then I rubbed Going Grey ink over the raised edges and cut out the circle, matted circle with a black circle. I made the black and white striped background using my left over strips of black. I scored lines every inch on the diagonal and then taped down the strips. Matted with black and sewed around the edges. I made the kraft strip panel (brick) by scoring a 1" strip of card stock every 1/4" length wise and then I scored every inch alternating the rows.. ie. first row and the third row, the next inch would be the second row and 4th row and repeat until you have completed the strip. I dragged the going grey ink pad over top of the panel (the raised edge is on the bottom) next I dragged the really rust ink pad over top to give it the distressed look. Sponged and inked the outside edge. I made enough of the brick so that I could have two one" squares for each end of the strip - so I could make my planter pots. I assembled my card. Added the leaf foliage to the planters and Popped up the sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

These colors really make a striking card. the flowers are really pretty and vibrant. I like the texture behind them. Great BG for the color to stand out.

I really love the contrast between the orange flowers and the black and white bg. Very beautiful!
