Initially I thought of using a nice painted wooden heart embellishment from my box, but I thought about times I've used hearts for punch art, and I went right back to MMTPT50 in 2009, when I made a a chicken based on something I had come up with for an IC challenge not long before.
I used blue chalk for the background, stamped the grass and foreground. My chicken body is a tad under a quarter of a large circle. The wing is a scalloped heart, folded in half (and I lined it with a scrap of DP. The wattle, crest and tails are also all hearts. I stamped the chicken wire over as much of the base as it would cover, didn't have time to to the matching to cover the whole thing and didn't think it mattered. Here are my original IC166 chicky gift tags! . And when I went to look for them, I actually still have the other card I made for that challenge. Wow!
Will be along to comment after work or tomorrow.

So creative Sabrina and I'm always amazed to see cards made that have used punches and tools other than stamps. Love the sentiment to go with your cute image. I'm glad that you have checked in...I was wondering how you were going and hope that your ear is finally ok. TFS Happy day

This is delightful, Sabrina! I love everything about it, and especially the plaid chicken and all the hearts you used. Thanks for making a card for Patti.

I agree with Jen for most creative use of hearts. I had counted six and realized I missed the wing when I read your write-up. I adore the plaid you used on this and that blue chalk sky is gorgeous. I am still smiling. I bet Patti will adore this too.
Love, love, love the direction you went to in doing this challenge, Sabrina, and your punny sentiment is *chef's kiss*! I love how you used hearts for the different chicken parts - it is fantastic! I'm definitely case-ing this!
