This week we are at the 50th challenge. Each week you all amaze me with your wonderful creations. With the help of Pat aka pvibaum we are going to visit this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsEB7x9H6ew&t=21s
This card is my attempt at painting small. Usually my cards are 5x7. Today's is the popular A2 size. The image is actually 2x3 inches. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Did use one smaller brush for the detailed wheat. After completely the image made a background, first by embossing a striped folder twice to make the subtle plaid. Sponged the oxide inks to match the watercolors. Added splatters of white gouache paint. The image panel has dimensionals to adhere it. Sure hope you can join us and create a wet on wet scene.

You did great with the miniature painting this week, Linda. I know you like to make yours larger. This is beautiful with the plaid background you created. Thanks for a fun and informative challenge.

SO pretty! And the bg you created is as lovely as the painting - both framing and merging with it, as the linear spatters to me, feel like extensions of your wheat field billowing in the wind. Love the variation of browns in your field to add to the depth and interest.
