A big congrats to Pat, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely gallery & there were many I wanted to pick, but I went w/ THIS card for my case. I kept the CAS layout & split die cut, but used different stamps & dies & used a colorful panel & narrow frames behind & around my die cuts.
For my card, I used an inside slimline die for my linear panel, but instead of cutting from both ends, I cut 2 slits & inserted the die under it. (I have a couple of pics of this on my blog.) Instead of a solid color, I used a colorful leftover strip I made by using drops of dye reinkers on glossy paper then blowing thru a straw to make the inks move. I added partial cobalt blue frames around the die cuts because I thought it looked more finished this way.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more details & pics: The Write Stuff

This is gorgeous. Love the vibrant colors peeking out from behind the die cuts. Checked out your blog. That is one nifty trick with your die leaving that blank space. Love this look. Great CASE and a great card.
Julie, this is a wonderful case of Pat's card. You are so very creative using the dies in several ways to get different outcomes. I had to hop over to your blog to see your how to pics. This is amazing.

Soooo pretty, Julie. Very cool design and a great case of Pat's lovely card. I love the colors and how you did the sentiment too. Hugz
