5x7 really is a challenge for me. I always say that A2 is my canvas size and I can really work on anything different. But today's 5x7 MIX challenge from Dina really worked out for this Colorado Craft Company stamp. I wanted to use it for a 40th birthday card for a friend who runs marathons. To make my card mixed media, I made my background with a stencil and texture paste. I wanted the image colored very loosely, so I used my Spectrum Aqua markers to sort of half color/half watercolor it. Look at me. I just can't stop watercoloring!

I love the loose watercolor look you used for the image and that cool paste bg you created. But I'm not so happy with your sentiment -- because, it's true and I'm living it. LOL! Every week my hubby and I go, oh my god is it (pick a day) again already???? Your friend, the runner, will love it all though. Hugs.

Great card by C. Shultz. My daughter is a marathoner. The running keeps her very slim. She has run NYC, Chicago, Cincinnati and San Francisco. Mostly NYC as she lives up north of the city. Your card is so fun, Jen! Love it.,.,TFS
