This card was inspired by a fond memory of my mother taking me to Lighthouse Beach in Edgartown, MA to play in a shallow pool of water created by a cut in the sand. I was an apron strings kid and fearful of the surf, so this was heaven to me!
I stamped the lighthouse and watercolored the scene around it. This was supposed to go to Linda, our Teaparty recipient, but I think I will make her another card that's a little more frilly and pink!
p.s. the title is from one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs!

This watercolor conveys such peace and your tender story reinforces the power of mother's love to shelter and protect her children. Thank you for making this lovely card for Linda.

Now you've got me singing that song....it's a fav of mine, too. What a lovely card and an equally lovely memory. I'm sure Linda will love whichever card you send her.

Pools are great, aren't they. We had favourite rock pools along our seashore - although we liked the sea and waves too. I think lighthouses always speak of comfort and reassurance, so I'm sure you could send this to Linda. I'll have to check the song out!

A beautiful serene scene and memories. I could visualize your play along the shore as I read them. I agree with comments above that lighthouses always symbolize hope, comfort and reassurance. Your card is gorgeous and I am sure Linda would be delighted with this it; but then who can resist frilly pink. Either way is sure to charm and please. Fabulous card.
