It was interesting to adapt today's sketch to accommodate my slim line panel for Monday's TLC-watercolour doodles. I didn't think through the narrow strip on the left very well. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun.
My birdies and the one caterpillar are all vying for a spot in the chorus line for a Broadway Show called....wait for it... Bye Bye Birdie. The caterpillar is pretty confident because she has lots of feet. The blue and green birdies are not that confident, except for the one on the far left. She is quite certain she will be chosen because 1) she has pink leg warmers 2) she has pink toe shoes 3) she has a pretty pink tail and head feathers 4) she has the longest eye lashes 5) she has no idea why some of the other birds are standing on other's heads and thinks they are quite silly. Broadway is pretty cut throat! And I would bet that caterpillar is a bit wary of those birds....could she be their lunch????
My card title is an homage to A Chorus Line, one of my favorite Broadway shows. If I was talented enough, I would have liked to have been in a chorus line on Broadway or a backup singer for a famous group. Have you ever watched "Twenty Feet from Stardom?" I would recommend it. It's about a group of real life back up singers, including Merry Clayton. She is such an inspiration to me. She was in a terrible car accident in 2014, both legs amputated from the knee down but when she woke up, her only worry was her voice, which was just fine. She has backed up so many stars, like the Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ringo Starr, Della Reese and others.

Such a fun card. Great saying. Thanks for the glimpse into your brain, and a person who triumphed!!

Loving your doodle cards. They put a smile on my face.
Thank you also for leaving that nice comment on my Color Challenge card the other day. It means a lot to me.
