This card is being sent to our Teapot recipient this week, Linda Littlepage aka Hotwheels. We are remembering our moms and sending her encouragement to her as it is near the anniversary of the loss of her mom. I am remembering my mother as she loved flowers and she had a green thumb for sure. Anything would grow for her! Even after they moved to a lake home, she planted flowers on a steep hill , and places you wouldn't think they would grow, but they did for her! I miss my mom, too, Linda. She died of a horrible disease, ALS. I praise God though that she was diagnosed with it at 88 and really only suffered about a year with it. She never complained, and was a witness for our Lord and Savior until the end. OK, I didn't mean to go on and on! Forgive me, please.
This is also for the May Misti challenge for texture and the May Stamp2 Spend challenge for May Flowers.
I don't know what I would do without my Misti! I stamped the flowers and sentiment multiple times with my Misti to get it right. I love this new Lace dynamic EF and it gives lots of texture. I stamped and fussy cut the flowers.
Thanks for looking.

Sharon, that texture caught my eye straight away AND you put it on the envelope for an extra special touch. I love learning about your mother's way with flowers. My grandmother had that gift and I have some treasured iris that bloom every spring. We say "Grandma's eyes are smiling". Thanks for sending this beautiful card to Linda.

Please Sharon, don't apologize. I love reading about your mom and her green thumb and witness for the Lord. My mom also had a green thumb and I inherited it from her. Not only me, but she also passed it on to my youngest daughter.
I love how you took a simple layout and gave it a wow factor with the embossing and lovely flowers. I need to get working on a card for Linda.

Sharon your card is lovely, the textured Bg really adds to it.
That’s a lovely story about your Mum, we would say green fingers, some people are like that, can grow anything.

The flowers on lace look lovely. And the sentiment is a really good one, to ponder and reflect on. I'm glad your mother didn't have to live too long with ALS, and was able to keep shining right through it.

That lacy texture in the bg is gorgeous and I noticed it on the envelope straight off. Beautifully crafted card with those sweet flowers and great sentiment for this occasion. I really enjoyed reading about your Mom and her great gift. I once had a steep hill in my backyard and, sadly, because my thumbs (and all my fingers) are brown not green so was that hillside. I wish your mom could have come to my house. And, she not only had the gift of raising beautiful flowers, she raised a beautiful daughter. Hugs.
