Dr. Sonja and Polly are hosting a Tea Party for Linda aka Hotwheels and we are sending encouragement and cheer. Lindaâs beloved Mother and best friend passed away two years ago and we want to brighten Lindaâs day as Motherâs Day approaches. I stamped a panel with the Beautiful Friendship images, embossed it with the Textured folder and added borders with Gorgeous Grape and Aqua Glitter cardstock. I took my sentiment from the Climbing Roses stamp set, stamped that in Slate ink, stamped a few blossoms as accents, and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The leaf embellishments are from the Forever Flourishing dies and the faceted gems are from Hampton Art.
Linda, my Mother and best friend passed away just last year and I can understand your sadness. Whenever I think of her I do so most often with a smile instead of tears because I am so grateful that the Lord gave me such a precious Mother. I know that Mother and I will spend eternity enjoying one another and I am so thankful to have that assurance.

Gorgeous. Love the floral panel you created and the texturizing adds such a beautiful look. The overstepping onto the sentiment panel is wonderful as is the die cut foliage. Fabulous card and one I am sure Linda will treasure.

Wow, adding the texture changed the whole look of this gentle card. At first I wondered how you water colored with a stamp? What a terrific technique. Thank you, also, for your kind words for Linda. My heart goes out to you for your own loss and I love how you hold joy with your mother's memory in your heart.

Rita, I love that sentiment you used for Linda! Your aqua glitter dp and embossed stamped panel really kicks this up a notch. The glittery stem and razzleberry ones look so good!

That floral strip is just beautiful. I like the soft watercolour effect - the texture really enhances that. The sentiment panel is so pretty too with the flowers framing the thought.

Such a pretty card. Love the muted colours. Sorry for your loss but glad you have happy memories and a strong faith to get you through the tough times.
