I finally got my card done for yesterday's Featured Stamper challenge. I was inspired by this card by beadsonthebrain. A coworker asked me to make a special graduation card for his son who is graduating from UConn this month. Elizabeth's card gave me the idea to use my side step card die and put a husky (UConn's mascot) in a car with some sports equipment in back. I don't have any husky stamps, so I stamped this fox and drew in some more shaggy hair and blue eyes. Then I stamped a big paw to make him look more dog-like. The good news is that Desmond walked into my craft room this morning and said "Is that a husky?" Success. I stamped the houses and city and cut them out for the background. The card base die has a circle that stick up on the right, so that influenced the nighttime scene. That worked out because the navy matched the school colors. The I cut the grass and road and I was all ready to put the card together, but I wanted to personalize it down to the color of the car. I had to wait until this morning to find out what color car my friend's son drives. White. So I cut the car out of glossy cardstock and it's finally finished. I hope they like it as much as I do!

They will love this! What an adorable and personal card for your friend. And, you nailed the challenge. I can definitely see the influence from Elizabeth's card. Fab job...as always.
Jennifer, this is a great case of Elizabeth's card. What a wonderful graduation card. You pack so much interest and dimension into you side step card. I love the vehicle with the balls in the back and the neighborhood and cityscape in the background. Your coworker's son is going to love it.
