Congratulations Elizabeth (beadonthebrain) on being this week's Featured Stamper. Looking through Elizabeth's Gallery, I was inspired by so many of her cards. While I chose this one to CASE, the colors on my card were actually inspired by several other cards In her Gallery. Raining Flowers Convention swap by beadsonthebrain at Splitcoaststampers
I loved the look of stamping over text and her beautiful blooms.
For my card, I ink blended DI on white cs. Stamped off the newspaper text stamp, then stamped (2nd generation). Used Marvy markers to color the flowers. I also stamped off the stems and then stamped so they wouldn't be so bright. Added the circle frame, stamped sentiment; and glued on the die cuts. I had planned to make a birthday card, but remembered I needed a thank-you card. That worked out well since Elizabeth's card was a thank-you card too.
The orioles, goldfinches and bluebirds have returned to our yard, so I colored my bird blue and yellow for them. I think they are very pleased about this because they really are quite prideful.
Elizabeth, you certainly do have a fun Gallery. Loved all the party favors --- looks like you throw quite a bash. Congratulations. I hope you have a great week and enjoy all the cards inspired by you. And I hope you all find much inspiration today. TFL.

Beautiful colors, Debbie. I love that you did a newsprint background. Great bird coloring and flowers too. All of it goes so well together and makes a special thank you card! I like that you colored the birds after birds in your yard - makes them even more special. Hugz

Debbie, this is a great case of Elizabeth's card. I love the newsprint image you used and how you gave a vintage feel by stamping the images using second generation ink. The frame is perfect to set off your pretty bird and nest.
