I chose Hemingway, and "The Old Man and the Sea".

You may be surprised to know that the first edition of this Classic was published in Life Magazine. It's a story of courage, persistence, and is still one of my favorite books.

I was happy to find a first printing in book form as a gift for our English teacher son, Paul.

This goes to a "tickle" recipient, and I think it works as a Father's Day card.

Wow about the Hemingway info...did you watch the pbs Ken Burns series about him? Very well done as always, what a complicated man. Can't say I love his work but maybe I'm a little conflicted about the man and that hinders me. I love that face stamp...I thought maybe you were doing Twain, looks like him.

I love how ethereal your sea looks as it segues into the cloudy sky above.
The CAS treatment with just the facial features superimposed is very effective.
