It's Teapot Tickle time and we're joining Susan for a beach vacation at the Sylvia Beach Hotel in Oregon. I'm staying in the Mark Twain room. Where's everybody else staying? I hope the recipient of my card appreciates my recycled cards. I happened upon this card while I was looking for my scratch cards for yesterday's TLC (still haven't found them). But I did find the Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County! So I cut the panel down and fit it to a slimline card base. Because I was using an old card as my main attraction, I decided I needed to jazz up the base. So I covered it with purple and teal glittery acrylic paint and then added some glimmer paste through a stencil. I went to Google looking for Mark Twain quotes to print out, but then I remembered I already had one as a stamp and it is a great one. A little whimsical doodled frame and my card is done. That was a fun challenge, Susan!

Oh, my delightfully fun, Jen! I recognize that cartoon...fantastic way to upcycle. Isn’t it just the best when you unearth a buried element that becomes the focal? I love the bold polka background...and the slimline shape was the way to go.
Thank you for bringing Mark Twain to the tea party. An American treasure.

This is so much fun! The expressions on their faces are a hoot! What a wonderful way to repurpose! I am staying in the Jane Austen Room. I hope we bump into one another during our visit to this treasure of a hotel!

I sure have a lot of smiles over your fun recycled card, Jen. Yeah, plenty of wrinkles show, too! I've stayed in the Jules Verne room and would book it again, for the added bonus of an extra door to the outside deck.

Your doodles, painting and pasting made this fun image even more fun. And, how lucky to have a quote stamp that works so perfectly with your fun pic. What a delightful and happy card.

Great sentiment, I love it. I'm always telling DH, when he worries about wrinkles, that it's because he laughs and smiles a lot. What a super recycled card - I certainly wouldn't mind it.
