Of course I love this hotel and of course lots of these authors, I've read many books from them, but today I stay in France with Colette, I've printed her picture, cut it out and glued on black linen, outlined it with white gel pen, framed with a doily die cut, all the other embellishing and letters are stickers, I've made a matching envelope for this card too, I didn't picture it.

Thank you for coming to the TeaParty Swap this week, Anita. I am glad you stayed close to home, for I have to thank you also for piquing my interest in a new to me author. Colette was a very beautiful, interesting, and a trailblazer for women. I can’t wait to read more about her and of her life.
Your choice to use black and white was perfect! The lace die cut adds another feminine element. I like how Colette is the show! Do you have a certain book to recommend for me to read first?

I will have to look into miss Collette as I don't think I have ever read anything by her. She looks to be quite the femme fatale and the black & white rendering is quite in keeping with the mid 40's. Love the corner adorners.

I was considering staying at Chez Colette's room, too, hers is the 'most romantic'! Love how you framed the author, and how you carried the same theme inside! I don't think I have read a book by her either, I'll be checking our library...thank you, Anita!
