I did try making my own. I've done it before - without the liquid soap, and sanding to remove the black. This time I got very good scratch paper and DH wants me to make the scratched piece into a card, but when I tried embossing it, quite a bit of the paint came off onto the embossing folder even after drying overnight, and I had to use a toothbrush to get it all off.
So - my sample uses Anita's paper. I added the bird, coloured in shades of grey and perched on a branch. Added a sentiment from Unity, and some stars cut from - wait for it, my tomato paste tubes again - to tie in with the sentiment.
She sent me some paper that scratches to gold too - as soon as I have time later in the week I'll be along with another card.

What a great card. I'm loving the look of the embossed scratch paper in the Gallery and yours is really eye-catching. Love the sentiment and that fun bird is the perfect foil to your serious but inspiring sentiment. Another fab card.

Gorgeous, Sabrina. Those bright colors caught my eye in an instant. The adorable little bird and sentiment are fabulous. I have never seen scratch paper. Although our stores are open and I am fully vaccinated, I have avoided going shopping...not because of covid, but due to the fact that I loose all financial will power in a craft store, and this is not a good time to buy non essentials. I think my family would not understand if I bought scratch paper instead of toilet paper.
