I need to get outside soon to get my walk in as WI weather is going to degenerate back to winter slightly.
Lyn has challenged us to do a slim line card, which I love to do. I haven't been buying much 'slim line' stuff, as I figure I can make do with what I have. But I'm partial to postal images so I decided to buy this slim line postal stamp. The sentiments are from Club Scrap.
Again, I'm very frustrated with myself because I wanted to do her exact corner treatment, since I have that punch and haven't used it in forever, which is maybe why it's missing. I don't have my punches scattered all around, they're very contained, so no idea. So I used another older SU corner punch and then used some old metal photo corners. I used simple sepia stamping like she did. Besides the sentiments, I used a postage stamp commemorating the 100th anniversary of air mail from the UK to Australia (1919-2019) and a little envelope charm I found. The envelope opens so a little message could be inserted.
I'm sure many of you are not so sure parcel post is better. After what we went through last November and December, I think the postal service is still figuring things out. I am missing a piece of mail myself, sadly. More frustrating for the sender, right?!

Love the sentiments expressed on this card and that is a great slimline stamp. Your 100th commemorative stamp and charm are perfect. I am not sure if I would like the other corners better as the ones you used look really good. Ah, mail service....sure isn't what it used to be. I mailed our State tax returns 4/8 and they are yet to be delivered. Now I'm sweating it won't get there at all and we will be stuck with penalties...Ugh. But, I still admire the service so I hope they are able to turn it back around. Great card.

That is a cool punch of Heather's and I am sorry you can't find it (yet!) I am guessing it is a small one. Hate when we go looking for something and it is not there! Anyhoo, you chose wonderful stamps. Happy mail is better than email for sure. Great slimline card!

oh, I missed that envelope charm first time 'round! This is a wonderful card and your Slim Line stamp was a great choice. You have challenged me to get out that CS set and go artistically postal. Your 'real' stamp collection is awesome.

I love the corner treatment you did and think it is better than had you found that punch. I can't find things sometimes and there they are, hiding in plain sight. I'm amazed that teeny envelope charm opens up on your well done slimline card.
