Toni challenged us to use scallops on our cards today. Scallops are pretty much my favorite food. And I have recently embraced them on my cards. Most of me wanted to make an underwater scene with scallop shells, but I've made so many underwater scenes recently that I talked myself out of it. What I did decide to do was a card that a friend on Instagram talked me into. She challenged me to remake a card that I made at least a year ago with new stuff. So I went back to the first card I ever posted on my Instagram. My old card is a little boring for me. Very muted colors. So my remake is much brighter and has a bunch of things that I didn't own back in 2018. I wanted to stick with a sunflower background, but instead of using DP, I started by sponging Wild Honey and Mustard Seed over the page and splattered with water. Then I grabbed one of my newer STAMPlorations stencils and my brand new PFS Paper Glaze. Then I sprinkled some Wow embossing powder on the flower centers and left it to dry a bit. Then I stamped the Bitty Bouquet and die cut with a scalloped circle. After the Paper Glaze dried, I heated the embossing powder. Then I die cut the "Hello" from fun foam and embossed the "friend". Of course, the old card was seriously lacking in glitter, so I added Stickles to this one.

Love the repetition of the sunflowers in the panel and bg!

Oh Wow! Your remake is definitely brighter, happier, less boring and more shiny and I love all it -- especially your new stencil. Your sunflowers even look scallop-ey. Great card.
