This was done ( as trial number at least hmph forgot already) will stick a mug shot of the table on the blog. 6 this was number 6 lol the first 5 have hit the bin. the good news is, I liked the colors I mixed. ( that's a win) I probably used too big of a brush, and I did not leave much white space for the body to be between the wings and the next time around I really want to cut the panel bigger than A2 to have more white space. as far that goes I am pretty tickled with this one and turned it into a simple card. Thanks for this challenge Linda, & tfl.

And, Stacy, you should be tickled with this one. The color is very pretty, too. Love the shape of your butterfly. I had a few go in the bin, also. So happy you joined us this week. Hoping you play along next week, too. Sure to be a fun one.

That's a mighty big butterfly, Stacy. I really like this color combo too! You've done really well, and I'm so glad you persevered and put this Beauty into the gallery!

Beautiful painting with the loose technique. Love the color you mixed and adding the shading color makes it really pop!! This is a card you would find in a boutique. Love it!! Glad you found time to join the challenge.

Stacy - have you heard the adage "GO big or go home!" ? Why paint a butterfly the same size as stamps you own - this IMO is a chance to spread our wings. Beautiful blend of colors - I would be petrified to try and add brown tones to the green but you did it beautifully. The play of light and shadows on the the body is beautiful, too. BTW I hopped over to your blog and I have to say I was intrigued by several of the wings I saw there. - it's never to late to retrieve them from the bin (smile)

I stopped by your blog and left a comment. Your desk is so orderly! Mine is always such a disaster after a project. I think this is absolutely beautiful! I love the transparency. You did such a beautiful job getting the wings on both sides to look similar. I messed that up EVERY time! Which is why I kept fiddling with ones that were sort of ok. Beautifully done!

Very pretty butterfly, Stacy and that sentiment goes so well with it. Big is better when it comes to butterflies IMHO. Super card. Hugz
