 | | I had so much fun combining this week's colors with today's sketch. Because the leaves are a bit off the card, it would need a bit larger envelope if I mail it. Well, it would regardless, wouldn't it? Hah, silly me.
Sonja always does the sketch challenge the second Wednesday and includes a fold that looks like the sketch (or is it vice versa?). I had watched a video about using deli paper with alcohol inks, kind of like wrinkle free distress, so I thought 'why not use the correct SU reinkers and do the same thing?' I used all four of the reinkers-daffodil delight, melon mambo, granny apple green and bermuda bay; squirted some on my non stick craft sheet, spritzed with H2O, moved them around with a brush and dipped the non coated side of the deli paper in. I mixed a couple of the colors but mostly did them separately. In the video, the artist stamped a simple line floral stamp in black ink and vaguely fussy cut around them. I thought they looked so cool, mounted on white cardstock, layered, wrinkly, and scrunched, so I mounted them all on a white oval. Just a little dot in the center of liquid glue. Had dessert with two dps (yay, i used some dp) and finished off with some opal Liquid Pearls. |
