We have lavender fields about a mile from our home and today as I tried to paint this I wish I could have smelt it and listened to it rustling in the breeze. I think there would have been an odd poppy and bees if I had really been able to capture my local field

I have been waiting to see what you would paint since you have "the real deal" right in your neighborhood and could draw on the experience of having seen this plant first hand. Love your soldier straight spikey flowers and a very natural look to the greenery below. Well done on those far away in the misty morning, too.

I love it, Janine. You did a wonderful job watercoloring your lavender. I would love to see a large field of lavender....never have.
