Congrats to Mary Ellen (cr8iveme) our newest Featured Stamper! I enjoyed looking through your gallery and finally settled on your Fairy Fantasy card: Fairy Fantasy by cr8iveme at Splitcoaststampers
to CASE today
I used different Lavinia stamps, made an overall blue background but using different techniques: sponging over a landscape stencil and also a Pebble stencil with 3 different DI blues. Instead of the florescent green accents - I used white Nuvo drops.
I die cut a circle out of acetate and used the circle itself placed over the fairy head and sponged around it to create a spotlight around her head.
Enjoy your week in the FS gallery Mary Ellen - and thank you for the inspiration!
Note: Eileen Godwin has a ton of YouTube videos using Lavinia stamps with creative sponged backgrounds if you're into these stamps.....

This background is so ethereal, and beautiful! Luv the delicacy and detail of Lavinia stamps. Life does surprise me, unfortunately not always in a good way.

Your background and your magical stamping really work together so well! Love the different sponging/stencilling techniques you used. Techniques I have much to learn about! Beautiful card and great case of the featured stamper!

Fabulous card. Love your stenciled bg and especially the "halo" you created around that great fairy image. The nuvo drops add a wonderful touch. Great CASE and a very magical card.
And thanks for the YouTube tip for sponging techniques.
