This card is dedicated to Anita (snietje) who commented on my Mixability challenge card that I should also try this week's TLC challenge âeoeSerendipity Squaresâe - she was sure I would love it. Guess what? I DO! I can see myself using this technique repeatedly for interesting backgrounds. So THANK YOU, Anita!
I used five different Washi papers for tearing, gluing/assembling, then stamped over the collage with Versamark and used Gold Embossing Powder. Stamps used were a large ginko from Stampin Up Kind & Caring Thoughts, Japanese symbols from SU Kanji, and Lanterns from Unity. This could be addicting....

Oh my. It's beautiful, Linda. Those colours, it's like leaves floating on water and all broken up with ripples and reflections. And it fits so well with the sentiment, too.
That type of sentiment always reminds me of a visit to the Gobelin tapestry manufactury (can't really call it a factory) in Paris. The people weaving the tapestries only see all the criss-crossing mess of the strands at the back as they are working; only because they have mirrors in front of them that reflect the finished work on the good side can they see what the result is really like.

I'm so glad to see this beauty in the gallery and I'm happy you followed my advice lol, I knew you would come up with a master piece and I really love it, it has a beautiful Asian feeling too. I agree with Sabrina about the Gobelin tapestry.
