WCW challenge was to paint a field of lavender. A very good video was provided and once I got past the background, I really enjoyed this. I thought my background was too dark so I tried to pick up some of the color after it dry by misting it and putting a piece of paper towel over. It helped a little bit. I did salt the background, turned out wonderfully. I splattered with the purple, blue and then some white ink. Thought it needed just a little 'oooomph.' My favorite 'sunshiny' sentiment makes this work for today's F4A.

Love your pretty lavender and I also like that green stem in the middle front (bottom) that looks like it has not bloomed yet or about to bloom....looks so realistic. I have never grown lavender so don't know which. Awesome card you created. Thanks for joining this week.

Beautiful card, Jean. Your salt technique did work well, and the lavender is lovely with all the shades of purple. Great movement on this painting. Like always...glad to see you join and have fun.

Yes, I am definitely seeing some of the texture from the salt in those far back blooms and love the variety of purples you layered on here. Nicely done on your abstract and beautiful sentiment.
