See the challenge for the technique for making the background squares. A good idea to use up scraps of dp! I used ModPodge to glue my little scraps down.
I added some grid stencilling with silver embossing paste and some tiny silver heat embossed snowflakes. I got a bit too much unwanted embossing powder on the piece! I cut four little squares out of the finished piece and arranged them on a larger square of white cs, then bordered with silver shimmer cs.
I die cut "sparkle" out of white and silver cs and glued them together slightly offset. I went over it with Wink of Stella (the sparkle on the word doesn't show in the photo).

I love this! It’s a great mixed media card and the blue and silver effect is wonderful. I even like the random embossing powder- giving it more of a mixed media look. This caught my eye in the gallery.

Oh, pretty! Love the blues and silver. I did mention the hazard of excess EP in my tutorial, LOL, it's a hazard. I once made axwinter sheet in purples when I made a four seasons photo album for my sister and wanted four seasonal squares for the front.
I hope you have enough squares to make another of these, I think it's just beautiful.

Oh blue and silver - so perfect for winter! Your card is gorgeous Susan! I love the way you used that torn paper technique to support your sentiment. Absolutely wonderful!
