For Jeanne's MIXed media challenge today to use at least two triangles. I reckoned I could work that in with Christmas, being what I need to focus on this weekend. I had a calendar on my desk, and I thought the leaves would make really nice trees, so I rummage through my box to find a suitable gel print. It's not high contrast, but I really liked this one, which has both acrylics and Brushos on it so it already gave me two mediums - but I added the glitter snow and Stardust pens.
I stamped the trees on the back of the calendar page to give me the right outline to fit the overlays, that also let me cut the centre one a bit longer. The trunks are from the edge of a gel print. I stamped and embossed the overlays on the two smaller trees, added the sentiment and the glitter snow. The little cardinal was stamped on black card, embossed with Chinese Red embossing antiquities ep and then I used Sharpies to intensify the colour a bit more. I matted it onto gold.
The inside has a tree cut from the same gel print as the background, with the gold tinsel overlay and the other half of the sentiment. I'll include a pic of it in the challenge thread.
