I created this card for my cousin's upcoming birthday. I got the "Hero Florals: Lotus" stamp set a while ago, and had yet to ink it up. I really wasn't in the mood to color, though, so I heat embossed the flower & lily pads on patterned paper scraps from the "Watercolor" pad. I die cut the images, and adhered them to a circle die cut from a different color of the same patterned paper.
I punched a border from a scrap of purple "Watercolor" paper, & cut a narrow strip of the same for the other side of the card. I also cut the main background panel from pink "Watercolor" paper. I adhered my layers to a dark green cardstock mat that I'd mounted to a white card base. I added the circle with my images on it.
I heat embossed the greeting onto a strip of pink "Watercolor" patterned paper. Finally, I adhered that in place, tucking it under the one lily pad a bit. I love the subtle variation in color the patterned paper gives my images. Using patterned paper made this an easy card to pull together.
