I watched Lydia's video early this morning then drove across town to get my 2nd COVID shot (so far so good - no side effects in these first 4 hrs)
You all know how I've stressed over free hand drawing during this journey so I was excited to see we started with stamps today . . . . . well - don't laugh too hard . . . . half way into painting them I thought sheesh - it would have been easier to just do them freehand ! I admit it - I'm a creative mess.
I did pale blue wash over the bg then dabbed at it a bit with toweling for a soft cloudy / wispy look. A weird mix of green with some brown & gray for my ground cover, then all it took was a few brushstrokes to add some trees (also well into the autumn of their lives) for framing.

Glad you had time today to do this challenge. Smiled when reading your comment about using the stamp. It was difficult for me too. Not even sure if it was done right. Yours really looks awesome with the painting of the elderly couple. Love it. Sounds like it's going to be a good day with you getting the last shot, and no side effects. Yah. Thanks for joining us, Linda.

This is great and I really like your ground cover with a bit of shading and you did great with the trees. What a sweet couple you have this week making a precious card. So glad you had no problems with your second vaccine...some do ......some don't. Glad you joined in today. You always do a good job.

A beauty to be sure Linda. I love the elderly couple walking and no doubt chatting through the park. Congrats on your second shot - mine isn't until the 21st of April - cannot wait!

I think you did a fabulous job!! I will say that on my blog I posted the watercolor abstraction and also a card I watercolored with an inky outline. I will admit that it was easier to color with the ink outline! However, I think no-line is so pretty and worth the effort! I love your couple! You really did a wonderful job with adding a hint of definition but still keeping it abstract. Not sure if this will help you but I watched Lydia do a No-line project the other day and she kept putting the lined stamp acetate over the top of her painting just to make sure she knew what came next. I thought that was a great tip. Not that you needed it for this painting, you did it beautifully!

I am still not sure I understand this challenge even having slept on it but I love your couple out walking - so appropriate for the UK today as the shielding period ends for those who have been "locked up" for so long. You did a wonderful job with no line painting.
