For this week's Teapot Tuesday, the challenge was a play on the "grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." We were to think of something that's greener on our side of the fence. And now you are wondering about pizza... my husband makes the best pizza in the world. And that was fresh in my mind because we were traveling last weekend and went out for pizza, which is never as good as his is. (Long before we ever met, he managed a pizza restaurant that, as my MIL said again over the weekend, had the best pizza ever. Years later, he recreated the crust recipe from memory and cut it down to a one-pizza size, and it's awesome). So that's how I went from green grass to pizza. The card itself is much simpler than that line of thinking. The pizza and sentiment were both sent to me by a Teaapotter a while back in a Teapot tickle. All I had to do was color them and arrange them on some DP (I was thinking green and red for Italy, but the colors on that paper are not the right shades for the Italian flag.)

I think this is great, Sandy. It really made me smile. I'd love to taste your DH's pizza. Funny, I was just thinking of making one over the Easter break. Nice use of the eyelets.

Great card, cute sentiment, and I like how you cleverly chose Italy’s colors and used the red eyelets. (So...do you think your husband would be willing to share the recipe with us, lol?)

Oh man...I do love pizza! I used to live in an apt across the street from an amazing independent place...you can bet I ran over there at least once a week. Sadly the guy retired and no one took it over...Fun card (and it wasn't me who sent the images...don't have any pizza stamps..)
Your card had me at "pizza", Sandy! First, I love the clean lines and simplicity of your card; second, that slice of pizza is colored incredibly; and third, I love the backstory of your card! I'd love to taste your husband's pizza, too!

Oh, I've been waiting all day for your card to show up. What a yummy one it is. Great image, sentiment and dp. Is your hubby sharing his recipe for the crust. I'd love to have it. No one needs to know. Just slip it in with the card when you get my name. LOL.
