Yes, I have no ducks, I have no ducks today! Not one duck stamp image, nope! But to the rescue came my old dictionary. My title comes from the fact that right after mallard comes malleable and I didn't realize I was including that definition.
This 'thing' grew on its own. Started out pretty simple, stapled the picture and definition on some burlap, added to my burlap chevron background, found enough letters for 'ducky', cut out the word 'just' from the dictionary and then decided to spray some corrugated cardboard and add some for texture. The latest MMJ (messy, mixed and joyful), posted by Nancy, asks for the corrugated. Isn't this just ducky?!
I hope everyone feeding ducks in the wild are feeding them healthy stuff like seeds, fruits, but not bread or popcorn or the like. Bravo to Brock, Jeanette, for caring about those ducks. Fun activity for him.

I love in your description how this started out simple! Great idea using the dictionary page, and I have to say, all the texture and esp your eclectic “just ducky” made me smile. Great card!

Oh my gosh I love this. Your posts are equally fun to read. All that texture and all those elements are wonderful- so much to see. This one makes me want to reach out and feel it. I sure do love your work, Jean.

Fantastic card Jean! I love your thought process in creating this! I'll have to remember that trick when I don't have a specific stamp! I have an old dictionary for just that purpose!
