It's that time...Spring, Basketball, VSN, a fresh week of challenges on SCS! What's not to love, right? My card covers several of these. Let me lead you on this adventure...
The theme of the Virtual Stamp Night for March 21 is Parks and Recreation. Jeanette (Forest Ranger) has challenged us to 'Feed the Ducks' and include at least one duck on our cards. Well...I've got that covered though my duck just happens to be basketball star Eugene Omoruyi! I fussy cut the image from the newspaper (mounting it first onto cardstock to make it easier). I didn't want his face to appear so I added 'Wilson' the basketball and used an 'O' circle to highlight.
This card also used this weeks Sketch (WT837). Though I did move the elements to fit my design. The Duck Fan is a slightly more narrow number 3 panel. I haven't made many of the Slimline cards, but I am appreciating their scale. Thanks Allison.
Over on the Ways to Use it, Sabrina (Cook22) called for Maps. I imagine her gallery will have lots of entries...who doesn't love maps be they old or new? I used a DP from Stamping Station which is a modern take on the state map. It has collaged words of places, activities, and natural features around our state. I used a tiny panel behind my duck!
This was a whole lot of fun to bring this together. Thanks for stopping by. Go fighting Duck of UO!
Can't wait to visit the galleries.

This is such a cool card! I love basketball and am caught up in the March Madness games, men's and women's : ) I love the long layout accomodating your BBall player, the map panel, the framed basketball and the title across the front. Very, very creative!

Go Ducks! What a fun card, Susan. Being a native to Oregon, I kept studying the map portion wondering if the Pend I see is the beginning of Pendleton. Thanks for bringing Oregon to the gallery!
