First I watched the video on painting a glass jar of wildflowers - then checked out an earlier 'how to paint wild flowers' video, too.
The struggle was real today (possibly exacerbated by a VERY stressful day at work yesterday) - overall I'm happiest with the thistles and fussed over the jar WAY too long. I could not seem to paint a straight line to save my life and still can't tell if it was just my skewed vision playing tricks on me or a reality - and who knew a waterline could be so problematic . . . That took at least a dozen tries, hence the darker and darker glass / water & shadows. LOL In the end, I am pleased enough with the illusion to turn this into an Easter card for a dear friend of mine.

Oh my goodness!!!! this is stunning. Sure hope you had fun creating this wonderful painting. Those coneflowers and thistles look so realistic. You captured the look of water with the waterline. Thanks for coming this week and giving us this real beauty. You should be very proud of yourself. TFS

Your flowers are perfect! As is your jar and water line! I wanted coneflowers in my bouquet, but I woke up too late to go back and watch a second video. Had to just follow the video exactly if I wanted to get my cards made before work.

Wow, Linda, this just pops from the gallery and you have done such a beautiful job. I know what you mean about the struggles. Water colors are so beautiful but are tricky to get the wetness, the colors, and lines working that takes time and patience. You have done a wonderful job with all those things.
