This week we are showering Trish, who recently received a dire diagnosis of ovarian cancer, with our paper hugs. Trish loves animals so I am hoping that includes dogs.
We were asked to use the letters from SPRING:
S: sea
P: pooches
R: rhyme (tug/hugs--sort of rhymes--looks like a rhyme)
I: insides stamping
N: nothing...I got nothing for "N"
G: group hug
The card is straight-forward: printed, colored, mounted on card stock. My wonky-stitches frames were too big and too small (I need a Goldlilocks frame here), so I added layers of teal and white to make it more interesting. The image is colored with Copics but the sky and water are watercolored. The dogs are wearing their teal collars -- teal being the color for ovarian cancer -- in solidarity with Trish. I tried to get them to wear a teal ribbon, but they insisted ribbons were for sissies like cats. Dogs. The sentiment is Angelica Caroline and Arial Rounded fonts. I also stamped a bunch of "Hugs" with shadow inks for the inside note.
I love this image by Mo because I think it's cute; but, I also love this image because of what it represents. We all find ourselves in a situation (the boat) at some point in our lives and there is always someone in there with us. Sometimes it's our family, sometimes it's our friends, and sometimes it's complete strangers who say or do just the right thing to make a difference. That's you Tea Potters. You are a bunch of wonderful strangers making someone's day a bit brighter with all your loving paper hugs. I hope the day is as bright for you as you are making it for the rest of us. Paper Hugs to You All.

Such a sweet image and you have colored it beautifully. The double framing spotlights that image even more and you had the perfect sentiment to go with it.

I was chuckling at how these dogs insisted on wearing their teal collars, while trashing the kitties, LOL! The doggies and their tug boat are colored beautifully, and the repeat matting and framing features them so well! I also like how you decorated the inside with hugs!
I always enjoy reading your write-ups, Debbie - and your last paragraph here is specially touching...big paper hugs to you, too!

How about nautical for "N", Debbie. But I had to laugh on your nothin'! This boatload of pooches is so sweet. Wonderfully colored too. What a great card for Trish!

Pooches is a BRILLIANT P. It's interesting that you see the boat as in it together, with their rather bemused (and even worried, the tall tan one who reminds me of my aunt's rescue mostly-lurcher) expressions I though they looked lost at sea! But delightful and enchanting.
I know what you mean about Goldilocks dies!

That framing is perfect the way you broke up the white with teal, and the pups are so cute! I love your description of the image and sentiment, and I wholeheartedly agree.
p.s. n=nautical
