Misti's challenge is for anything spring related, while Pat challenged us to use items on our card that begin with at least 3 letters in the the word SPRING. My inspiration for this card is the teapot for this week - I just love it!
So, for the things I used in my card:
S - Silhouette (to cut the oval shape and write the sentiment)
P - paper-piercing, petals
R - rhododendron (I found out that all azaleas are rhododendrons!)
I - inspiring sentiment
N - Neighbor in the North (this card is going to Trish in Canada)
G - GOOD, green leaves
Thank you, Pat and Misti for the challenges! Thank you to Elke for letting us know about her friend Trish, and thanks everyone for looking - let's find something good in every day!

Oh Gem this card is stunning. I love everything about it but especially it simple but elegant look. The paper piercing is wonderful and that flower is stupendous. This is one of my favorite quotes and the first page I did last year when I started the art journal project with my friend Judy. What a wonderful and inspiring card for Trish.
EDIT: Oh my goodness, Gem. I love that phrase "the bee's knees". I will be smiling all week thinking of it. Thanks! (I hope you see this edit -- I really don't know how they show up for you).

Piercing - I never thought of that. But I wouldn't have done it as beautifully as this anyway. Those soft petals look fantastic with all that texture. I did know that rhododendrons and azaleas were the same family, but not that azaleas nested (grew??) under them. What a positive sentiment, too.
