Thinking of Spring - that is a long way off for us south of the Equator. Only just starting into Autumn.
The Jacaranda trees bloom here October/November and are so pretty with their purple flowers.
This is the first slimline card I have made. It was definitely time to give my new dies a try out.
For my Spring themed card I started off doing a water coloured background. I then stamped the tree in Versa Fine Clair ink. Tore some printer paper and used it to create the mountains in the background using a sponging brush. Time to create the garden around the trees before stamping Puss and the birds. The flowers and birds are highlighted with gel glitter pens.
Hope enjoy this Spring Day.

Holy moly! Helen, your scenes just get better and better! It was -10 C when I walked the dog this morning and this spring scene is just what I needed! The song sparrows and robins are back but they are shivering for sure. Love your colour palette and the silhouetted cat looking at the birds is a wonderful focal point!

That tree is amazing! I love the way you add such wonderful colors to your scenes...especially that beautiful purple on the trees. The slimline design gives you more room for all those pretty flowers/leaves. Love this!

There's so much to take in on this beautiful creation! I love the soft background and that wonderful, whimsical tree. I've always wanted to see a Jacaranda tree in person. Finally, that cat is just fabulous!
