This is my attempt at loose roses using my water colours. I added a few splatters with the coral colour I used for painting and some gold from a new metallic set a friend bought me for my birthday. I certainly need to practice this more. Sadly roses are a bit of a sore point this week. I was hoping to take a cutting of a rose at what was my Mum's house but my sisters have had the front dug over ready for a place for a car and the rose has gone. The house had been rented out and I was to take a cutting once the weather improved.

Sorry to hear about your Mom's rose. You did a wonderful job on these roses....Love the colors and your leaves are very realistic. The splatters do add something. Glad you found time to play in the challenge.

Your watercolored roses are so pretty. I love the splatter, it is the perfect touch. How disappointing that you didn't get that rose cutting. Sounds like your sisters owe you one!

Goodness, I missed this card somehow, Janine. Your roses look beautiful. I am sorry about the cutting you wanted. Maybe soon.
