The sketch challenge this week is also a fun fold -- the double gatefold. This is the kind of fold I've always avoided because it looks so complicated. Well, news flash, it's not. In fact, on this one, all the scoring is on whole numbers, no pesky fractions. I only have a couple of pieces of double-sided cardstock, and most of them had one side that was positively ugly. I went with this combo of a very bold floral and a striped pattern. Because the floral print is so bold and busy, I decided not to add the optional diagonal strip on the gatefold. The central medallion may be a little busy, too, but that flower die turned out to be the perfect match for the floral print.

This is a gorgeous card! I love the big bold pattern on the paper but what really makes it are the die cut flowers on the sentiment panel. I think I recognize them and if they are on a metallic strip they are old Cuttlebug dies (Provo Craft). Boy do they work well here!

Love the BOLD POP of colors and funky flowers. The die cut blooms on the front are perfect accents for this terrifically happy card. Thanks for taking the double dare challenge.
