I survived another Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and it was pretty fun! I was a little nervous at first, but I watched the whole video and decided to try two different types of roses. I wasn't sure if I would get quite the colors I wanted using my Spectrum Aqua Markers, so I decided today to use my cheap-o set of pearly watercolors from Michaels. So I really like the shimmer of these flowers--and I think they all actually look like roses! Yippee! Of course, I still felt like it needed a cute critter and I turned towards my stamps and spotted this hedgehog with a bunch of roses right away. Perfect! I put him on a grounding element die cut, so he kind of looks like he's standing in an art gallery in front of a very very large watercolor masterpiece.

Oh you more than survived the challenge this week...you nailed it!!!! Love the softness and the white space, and your leaves are fantastic. Like how you made different sizes of the roses. Hope you do more of them so you don't forget how to paint them. Happy that you joined us this week and added the beautful cards. I do like how you created the pop with the black and grounding him worked wonderfully. TFS

He is staring at a masterpiece. I think you rocked the challenge. Your roses look fabulous. I love all the PB critters and rose-holding Hedgie was the perfect choice for this card. Love this.

Oh, my goodness! The grounding element is amazing! I love your roses so much! You did a stunning job! You achieved beautiful color with your watercolor paints. It's like my great-grandma used to tell us if you have talent you can use anything! I would never guess the watercolor was a cheapo brand! I adore your art-loving hedgehog!

You did a marvelous job with your watercolored roses. I like how you left lots of the paper's white on the card on the left.....hard to do by not color everything in.
