Inspired by this Pic: https://www.pinterest.es/pin/536350636879963703/ The swirls and colors reminded me of this walnut bag packaging that I happened to have on my desk. I've been saving some non-recyclable pretty packaging for experiments. I first laid a mailing label behind the packaging before die cutting the bird. It worked well, but I decided I wanted the teeny pieces to remain in place, so I stuck another label over the back to secure them. Then I fussy cut around the bird, a bit larger so I could apply some gold glitter ep to the exposed sticker edge. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on vellum, & die cut in an oval. The BG started with a failing of double swirl patterns that were embossed in ivory & pearl. They acted as a resist when I was using it in some gel printing using Colorique paints and the sprig stamp. The bird is only attached on the bottom so the wings have movement.

Love how your artistic mind works. Reading your deets is so interesting. Love the background and using the vellum so the bg is not hid. This card just pops off the screen. TFS

This is just gorgeous, Lori - I've never seen nuts of any kind in such pretty packaging . . . . (thought at first it might be part of a kleenex box) The extra step with the fussy cutting and glittered edge really takes this to the next level. Love all the cool motion in the bg, Too.
