I went with the top line on Jen's Bingo game. I hope she can see the large bird image. It was a taken from a Hallmark card I gave my Mom in 1973. Louise would have been 48 then. The Bingo card was made in 1948 when she was 35. I laid and burnished a sticky back clear acetate panel over the original card and soaked it in warm water. After a minute or two, I started rubbing off the paper backing, making it thinner and more transparent, and then I cut the shape. It was attached with glue dots. I added the pop of bold color with the applique and the embossed, popped up sentiment. Added a pearly baby button in the O. I like how the rounded corners added to the design. This was a very sentimental, enjoyable and crafty card to make.

This is stunning. I love the bird image -- it's gorgeous -- and how you mounted it on the BINGO card. The pops of pink here and there are perfect. And, I love that this had so much personal meaning to you. What a wonderful gift to share. Louise will feel blessed to receive such a gift. Wonderful card.

What a treasured experience you had making this card for Louise. I love the use of the BINGO card and the added texture of the button and the flowers. Love this.

You've put so much thought and love into Louise's card design! I loved reading about your process and am so touched that you've included elements from the card you gave your Mom in 1973. Louise will enjoy the textured details and that lovely bird image you've included in your design. Thank you for helping to bring extra joy to Louise's 108th birthday celebration!

Oh, neighbor, I knew this was yours without even noticing the avatar. Soooooo {u}! So full of meaning from your collage. The bird is beautiful, love love the appliqué. The real Bingo card from ‘48. The commentary of what Louise has experienced in relation to your elements. All your work has such depth, Lori. That happy birthday grounds it all. Wow, really!

The first thing that caught my eye was the floral applique, Lori - I have the same one, just a lighter pink! I love how your card has so many details that hold a special meaning - it is a work of heart!

Lori, you are so awesome! What a fabulous trip down memory lane for Louise. Funny, I used one of those commemorative moon landing stamps on her envelope and was thinking about how old she was when that happened. Anyway, you get all the cookies for a 1940s BINGO card!!
