Kia is our hostess for this week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge. I had a wonderful time painting hollyhocks this week. I decided to keep it to one stalk of flowers. I couldn't bring myself to work on the background because I was fearful I would mess it up and have to start on my flowers again. So instead I framed it with a die-cut and added a stamped sentiment. Video can be found .

Your hollyhocks look great, Angie...beautiful work with the pretty pinks. Wonderful sentiment, too. I know what you mean about not wanting to mess something up when you get a painting done. Yikes!

Angela, I love the softness of your creation. Pairing it with the gray cardstock and border, is really the perfect combo. I am hopeful I can make something I can post for this challenge. Great job on yours.

Wonderfully done on your overlapping blooms, Angie. You have beautiful shadows where each one meets another and I like the way they cascade down that ramrod straight stem.
