I made this card for my dear husbands birthday, which is tomorrow - March 3rd. We love being out on the water and viewing lighthouses. This lighthouse is from Stampin' Up - from 2002. It is one of my oldest stamp sets. I stamped the image with memento black and water coloured most of it and used copic markers for the grey shading on the house and lighthouse.
I tore the background paper into strips to get the white section showing at the tops to make it look like waves. I matted the lighthouse image with navy. Sewed around the edges. Added the photo corners and mini brads. I made the sentiment into a banner and sewed it to the image panel. Popped up the image panel and attached the anchor brad. Finished the inside.
SC843 - sketch
WT830 - brads
WT831 - what is old is new
WT832 - photo corners
F4A575 - get your happy on - well being out on the water makes me happy or just being near the ocean.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs..Pat

I have those light houses and they will always be a part of my collection. I love the torn paper for the seafoam on the water. Such a gorgeous card, Pat. Happy BD to your hubby!
